Mudcats Finish What They Had Started Earlier This Month Against the Broncos

Last night in the Cornbelt league, the Madison Broncos traveled down to Dell Rapids to take on the Mudcats. The teams were playing in a game that was postponed from its original date set for June 5th.

Heading into the contest last night, the Mudcats carried a 3-0 lead over the Broncos from the original game and started the matchup in the top of the third inning where they had left off earlier in the month.

The game picked up right where it left off, with the Mudcats getting the victory, even putting the 7-inning rule into effect, beating the Broncos 13-3. The Mudcats were able to walk it off with a homer from Mark Abrahamson in the seventh.

Mudcats have now outscored opponents 28-3 in their last three games since the Cornbelt v Sunshine Tournament, ending their last two games in 7-innings.

The Mudcats will try extending their win streak to five on Thursday when they travel to play Colman. Meanwhile, the Broncos will try getting back up to .500 when they host the Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks, who are on a three game win streak.
