Monday Youth Baseball Rundown

Using a nine-run third inning, Volga was able to defeat Madison on Monday night in Legion baseball via a 15-12 score. Both teams scored four runs in the first, but the big inning was the difference – as Madison lost its third straight game. Aiden Tisdall drove in four for Volga, while Colby Mennis and Braden Eimers each scored twice and drove in a pair for Madison.

Madison Maroon picked up a 6-1 win over West Central in Humboldt on Monday. The Maroon squad limited the host team to just one hit, as Nathan Ricke and Peyton Wolf combined for the solid effort on the mound. Riley Kearnin went 3/4 with 2 RBIs to lead Madison, who remained undefeated on the season and will return to action this evening, hosting Baltic at Baughman/Belatti Park.

Canova stymied Madison Black, picking up a 13-0 win in five innings. Lane Miller allowed just four hits, did not walk a batter and Jevyn Bolden drove in four for the Gang. Kayden Gehrels took the loss on the mound for Madison, allowing 11 runs in just over three innings of work.

Canova 14U used a five run first inning to defeat Madison 13U 11-4. Carson Hinker drove in three runs from his number nine batting spot, propelling the visitors to the victory. Logan Mentele and Weston Remmers combined to limit Madison on the mound, with Remmers giving up just one hit over the final four innings.
