The Cougars of McCook Central/Montrose are once again gearing up for a run at the Class A State Volleyball Tournament. Sitting at 24-3 on the season, MCM will be the #3 seed and face off against #6 Groton Area Thursday evening.

In Region 5 action, the Cougars were the top seed and had a bye into a SoDak 16 play in game, a game they won in straight sets over Parker (one of the teams they lost to during the regular season). Then in the SoDak 16 round, they swept Garretson in straight sets to punch their ticket to the State Tournament.

Head Coach Tami Bies (Beese) reflects on her team’s strengths throughout the season.

She also mentions there hasn’t really been any expectations the team has placed on itself.
