Madison Maroon Walks Off Dell Rapids

Nathan Ricke delivered the final blow as Madison Maroon rallied from a 3-1 deficit over the final two innings to defeat Dell Rapids 4-3. Ricke got a two out base hit to score Trey Smith in the bottom of the seventh inning. After Madison picked up a run in the bottom of the second inning, Dells responded with two in the third and then another in the sixth. Maroon countered with one in the home half of the sixth and then got a pair of runs in the seventh for the walk off win.

Ricke drove in a pair in the contest and Smith scored twice to lead Madison. Riley Kearnin came in in relief of starter Peyton Wolf, pitching the final two innings and getting the win. Madison Maroon improved to 8-0 and will be back in action at home next Tuesday versus Flandreau.
