Area residents planning to take part in the state Game, Fish and Park’s Nest Predator Bounty Program will be able to bring their tails to Lake Herman State Park. Conservation Officer Cody Symens said that there are a couple drop-off dates set for each month of the program. The program starts on April 1st and Symens said the first drop-off dates will be April 15th and 29th.
Symens said that there will be two dates for tail drop-offs in May and June also, and July 1st, which is the final day of the program. He said there is a maximum amount that those trapping can collect.
The Game, Fish and Parks Commission has agreed to run the 2021 Nest Predator Bounty Program from April 1st through July 1st, unless the 500-thousand dollars maximum is reached.
More information on this program can be found on the Game, Fish and Parks’ website.
