Humboldt/Hartford Legion Splits Games On Saturday

Humboldt/Hartford Legion split a pair of games on Saturday, defeating Pierre Post 8 Junior Legion in walk-off fashion and got shutout by West Fargo Post 308. Trailing by one going into the final frame, Pierre plated a run in the top half to knot the game at four all. Humboldt/Hartford would load the bases in the home half and got a walk-off walk from Noah Hohn to pick up the win. Hohn had two RBIs in the game, as did Carson Whittrock for the home squad. Seth Gabbert pitched the final two innings to pick up the win, after a solid start from Landry Knight.

West Fargo blanked H/H in game two on the day, 10-0. They scored five runs in the third and fifth innings to close the game in five innings. Nolan Dodds pitched a ho-hitter for Post 308, allowing just one walk to the Humboldt/Hartford offense.

Humboldt/Hartford now sits at 12-10 and will welcome in Dell Rapids this evening for a 7:30 first pitch.
