Hartford/Humboldt Legion Comes Up Short Over The Weekend

Playing in Harrisburg over the weekend, the Hartford/Humboldt Legion team found themselves on the short end of the stick in their four contest, losing all four. Runs were at a premium for H/H, scoring four or less in all of the contests.

Friday saw them drop a five-inning game to Fargo Post 2 18U squad, 12-2. Saturday, H/H drop a game to Brookings Bandits 9-3. Landry Knight drove in a run and scored twice in the loss. Later on Saturday, host Harrisburg plated 11 runs over the first two innings to win 11-3. Hartford/Humboldt did not have a hit in the game, but did draw nine walks.

The final game of the weekend was a tight affair until late, against Watertown Post 17 on Sunday. The game was tied at four a piece in the bottom of the sixth inning before Post 17 scored three times to secure the 7-4 victory. Cooper Maras, Gavin Koch and Carson Wittrock all drove in a run for H/H. Sitting at 2-5 in the summer, the squad will be back in action tomorrow versus Garretson.
