The Chester Flyers track and field team competed in the Big East Conference meet this week, where they had six event champions that included two new meet records.
Emery Larson continued with her strong season as she was a part of three different event champions. Larson broke the BEC meet record in the 1600m run with her first place time of 5:09.33.Â
She also placed first in the 800m run with a time of 2:25.37, and was a part of the first place 4x400m relay team that also consisted of Addison Bates, Katelyn Schut, and Jacy Wolf. They ran a time of 4:24.23.
Bates had another first place finish for the Lady Flyers, finishing first in the 400m dash with her time of 1:04.02.Â
The other BEC meet record that was broken by the Flyers, was the boys 200m dash record that Jovi Wolf broke with his time of 22.21. Wolf also placed first in the 400m dash, clocking a time of 53.50.Â

The State Javelin competition for Chester will be Monday, May 15th in Canton and the Flyers will have three boys and two girls participate in this event. The whole team will compete on Wednesday, May 17th at Bridgewater in the Region Meet.
