Final Sunday In Regular Season For Cornbelt Baseball

Wrapping up Cornbelt regular season play on Sunday, the Wood Ducks of Hartford/Humboldt used a four-run seventh inning to open up the game and defeat Dell Rapids PBR 6-0 in Humboldt. Justin Sebert had a bases clearing double in the big frame to help the Wood Ducks. Justin Seliski pitched the first six innings for Hartford/Humboldt, scattering four hits and striking out 10. PBR had Tanner Solberg start on the mound, he went four plus innings and also struck out 10 batters.

Elsewhere, the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks won their third straight game, a 5-3 decision versus Madison at Flynn Field. Canova’s Trey Krier and Derek Miller combined on a shutout versus Colman, 4-0. Flandreau picked up their fifth straight win, defeating Salem 12-8 behind four home runs hit. Lastly, Dell Rapids Mudcats thumped Lennox 16-1.

The Pairings for the District 4B Tournament are expected to be released later today. The Tournament is being held at Richeman Field in Dell Rapids with action getting underway this Friday. You will be able to hear the whole Tournament on KJAM Radio.
