Colman-Egan Falls, Howard Advances to SODAK 16

In the Region 3B Girls Basketball double-header on Saturday, Colman-Egan fell to Ethan while Howard was able to get the win against Dell Rapids St. Mary. 

In the first game of the night, Ethan grabbed the early lead against Colman-Egan and did not let up, taking a 21-12 halftime lead. Ethan continued to outscore Colman-Egan in third, outscoring the Hawks 19-6 in the quarter to take a 40-18 lead into the final quarter. 

The Hawks only scored three more points in the fourth as Ethan won 50-21 to advance to the SODAK 16, ending Colman-Egan’s season.

Howard had a similar start to their game as Ethan, getting a ten point lead over Dell Rapids St. Mary after the first quarter before continuing to add to their lead before halftime, going up 30-16 at the break.

The Tigers had a strong second half as well, with the Cardinals not able to get within reach the entire half, as Howard advanced to the SODAK 16 with a final score of 57-31 against Dell Rapids St. Mary.
