Class B Amateur State Tournament Begins Today

Today is day one in Mitchell, SD for the Class B Amateur Baseball State Tournament, and the Madison Broncos of the Cornbelt League will be leading off the tournament with their game against Plankinton.

The Cornbelt league had seven teams that made it to the state tournament, and four of the teams, Canova Gang, Lennox Alpacas, Salem Cubs, and the Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks, will play their first games on Friday. 

Dell Rapids Mudcats and the Flandreau Cardinals will both play in the morning on Saturday and Sunday, with Mudcats playing Saturday and Cardinals playing Sunday. 

The Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks just won the Cornbelt District Championship last Saturday against the Canova Gang, while earlier on that same day the Salem Cubs secured the last Cornbelt spot in the state tournament.
