Chester track and field team had an outstanding day at Jesse James Invitational

The Chester track and field team participated in the Jesse James Invitational in Garretson Saturday.   The Flyers had an outstanding day despite very chilly temperatures.  33 personal records were established, including one new school record!  

The Boys team finished second to Sioux Falls Christian.  Individually Jovi Wolf finished 1st in the 100 m dash.  He also finished first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.2 seconds which is a new school record.  

The 4 x 200 m relay team consisting of Wolf,  Alex VanEgdom, Ryan Benson, Stratton Eppard finished 2nd.

Ryan Benson took second in both the 100 & 300 meter hurdles.  

In the field events Ryan Benson placed second in the High Jump, Jovi Wolf was 2nd in the long jump.  In the Shot put Brock Wages placed second and Stratton Eppard had a 2nd place finish for Chester in the Discus.

The Chester Girls placed 5th as a team.  Individually Emmerson Eppard finished 3rd in the 800 meter run and 2nd in the 1600 meter run. Sydnie Shoenrock placed 2nd in the 100 meter hurdles.

In the field events Addison Bates was 2nd in the High Jump

In the Shot Put – Jada Becker was 1st with Lexi Siemonsma placing 3rd.  Siemonsma also had a 3rd place finish in the Discus.

The next meet for the Flyers is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20th in Gayville.  This Saturday, April 24th, Chester will host the Tom Main Invitational.
