Chester Track and Field Competed in Lounsbery Early Bird Meet in Centerville on Monday

Yesterday, the Chester track and field team participated in the Lounsbery Early Bird Meet in Centerville. The girls placed fifth, scoring 54 points, and the boys won the meet with 122 points.

The team of Emmerson Eppard, Addison Bates, Jacy Wolf, and Emery Larson won the 4×800-meter relay at 10:38.10. Larson also placed second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 400-meter dash. Lexi Siemonsma earned second in discus throw.

Jovi Wolf won first place in the 200-meter dash, setting a new school record of 21.9 seconds, while Stratton Eppard came in second at 23.6 seconds. Wolf also earned first in the long jump and Eppard finished in the top spot in discus and 400-meter dash. Ryan Benson came in first in the 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and high jump. Together, Wolf, Benson, Eppard,  and Max McGreevey all took first in the 4×100-meter relay, finishing at 44.3 seconds.

The next meet for the Flyers is set for next Monday, April 4th at the SDSU Invitational.
