Chester Flyers hosted the Tom Main Invitational Saturday

The Chester Flyers hosted the Tom Main Invitational on Saturday. In extremely windy conditions, the Flyers had a great meet. The girls finished in 2nd place scoring 102.5 points, behind Colman-Egan who had 155 points. The boys won the meet scoring 177 points ahead of runner-up Beresford with 99. Several meet records were broken by the Flyers, 12 personal records were established, and a school record was once again tied.
For the Girls in the 800 run –> Emery Larson – 1st (2:35.95). Emmerson Eppard finished first in the 1600 m run. The 4 x 400 m relay team of Addison Bates, Jacy Wolf, Eppard and Larson came in first. The Medley Relay team of Kately Schut, Ramsie Shoenrock, Bates and Eppard also placed first.
On the Boys side Jovi Wolf tied a school record in the 100 m dash with a time of 10.80. Wolf also placed first in the 200 m dash. The 4 x 100 m relay team of Alex Van Egdom, Brock Wages, Max McGreevy, and Stratton Eppard came in 1st as did the 4 x 400 m relay of Ryan Benson, Connor Bates, Stratton Eppard, and Jovi Wolf. Several meet records were set. In the Shot Put Brock Wages placed 1st with a record throw of 51’00.50″, Ryan Benson set 2 new meet records, one in the 110 m hurdles in a time of 14.81. He set the other meet record in the 300 m hurdles in a time of 40.95
The Flyers next meet will be the Terry Bong Invitational in Canton on Thursday, April 28th and then on Saturday, April 30th in Elkton.
