Chester competed in the Elkton Invitational over the weekend

Chester competed in the Elkton Invitational over the weekend. The Flyers set four new meet records, and both the boys and girls teams finished third overall. For the boys, Ryan Benson set the meet record of 110-meter hurdles at 15.7 seconds and 300-meter hurdles at 41.7 seconds. Jovi Wolf set the meet record for long jump at 20’09.25 meters and the 200-meter dash 22.4 seconds. Alex Van Egdom placed first in the 100-meter dash finishing in 11.7 seconds. Benson, Van Egdom, Wolf and Stratton Eppard crossed first in the 4 x 400-meter relay. 

For the girls, Emmerson Eppard earned a first place finish in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:33.7. Sydnie Shoenrock placed second in both the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. Shoenrock, Serena Larson, Karly Campbell, and Emily Larson finished second in the 4 x 100-meter relay at 55.8. Addison Bates earned first in High Jump with a height of 4’6”. Next for the Flyers is the Big East Conference Meet on Thursday, May 13th in Garretson.
