Canova Gang Captures 14U Region Title

Luke Koepsell threw a complete game one-hitter on Wednesday to propel Canova to a 2-0 win over Salem in the 14U Region 4 title game. Koepsell struck out nine batters and walked just two. The Gang got both of their runs in the fifth inning. Earlier in the day, Salem had blanked Parkston, 10-0, and eliminated Parkston (who had beaten Salem earlier in the tournament).
The 14U Class B State Tournament will be held in Webster July 17th through the 19th. Canova will play Friday, July 17th in quarterfinal play versus either Centerville or Parker.
