Canova 14U and 16U Played Mount Vernon on Wednesday

Canova 14U scored four runs in the first two innings, but were shutout in the last four, losing to Mount Vernon 7-4. Nate Miller was the only Canova hitter with two hits. Carson Hinker gave up six runs in only an inning plus. Kolt Koepsell pitched the remaining four innings, allowing one hit and striking out eight.

 

Canova 16U got a 5-1 win over Mount Vernon. This is the third time this season Canova has allowed only one run to their opponent. Jackson Remmers had two hits, a walk, and an RBI in the win. The pitching staff shut down Mount Vernon, allowing just one run on five hits.

 

Canova 14U and 16U play Alexandria on Friday.
