Ag Summit held this week in Sioux Falls

Amidst a tough planting season, the tariff wars, and low commodity prices, the South Dakota Ag Summit is being held starting today in Sioux Falls.

State Agriculture Secretary Kim Vanneman says producers are a tough bunch.

Vanneman says all the challenges currently facing producers will be discussed at the summit.

All segments of the Ag community will gather at the Sanford PREMIER Center today and tomorrow.  The event is free and open to the public.

A special town hall meeting will be held on Thursday as part of the Ag Summit regarding the Emerald Ash Borer. Experts will talk about how to slow the spread of the disease across the rest of the state.
