For the second consecutive week, Dakota State University cross country was represented on the North Star Athletic Association Runner of the Week honors. The sixth edition of the weekly honor tabbed junior Maxwell Cruse as the Men’s Runner of the Week for his 3rd place finish at the Briar Cliff Invitational last weekend.
Cruse, finishing behind teammate Braden Curnow’s 1st place performance, clocked a time of 25 minutes, 33.69 second in the men’s 8K race. Cruse was the 2nd best NAIA and NSAA runner and helped propel the Trojans to finish 5th as a team at the Briar Cliff Invite.
Dakota State Cross Country is off this week and will run at the NAIA/Seminole Valley Stampede Invitational on October 20th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
