Record number of golfers attend 6th annual Trojan Scramble

Dakota State University Athletics hosted a record number of golfers at the 6th annual Trojan Scramble Golf Tournament on July 23rd. A total of 88 golfers attended the golf tournament at the Country Club in Sioux Falls. Prizes were given out to the top rounds from 4-person teams along with pin and raffle prizes.

The top score from the first flight of golfer went to the group of Ryan Knudson, Dave Bednar,  Bill Trudeau, and Jerime Olson with a round of 55. In the second flight, first place went to Mark Shlanta, Ryan Punt, Kyle Groos, and Jay Woudstra and their score of 63.

The annual Trojan Scramble event raises scholarship dollars for DSU Athletics. 

Pin prize winners included the following:

Hole 4 – Longest drive in the fairway (Men) – Matt Geiver
Hole 8 – Longest Putt Made (All) – Gaven Davis
Hole 13 – Longest Drive in the Fairway (Women) – Ashley Kaufman
Hole 16 – Closest to pin on 2nd shot (Men) – Bill Trudeau
Hole 18 – Shortest drive in Fairway (All, must use it) – Jay Kahl
