The Dakota State University Football offensive line is one of a couple question marks after the first few practices of fall camp with the season opener just two week away. Over the last 3 seasons, the Trojans offense has broken records in scoring, passing yards, total yards, while establishing their balanced attack.
The Trojans graduated mainstay lineman and All-Conference recipients Justin Pontarelli, Greg Rodriguez, and David Riehle and will have to fill in their spots. Lucas Skibba, first-year offensive line coach for DSU, says he’s making the starting transition for younger players seamless.
A former national champion with NCAA Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater, Skibba brings a championship pedigree that he wants to translate to the young Trojan offensive line. Coach Skibba knows that preparation is the key to consistent play.
August 23rd marks the 2018 season opener for the Dakota State University Trojan Football team against Dakota Wesleyan. The Trojans have won the last two match-ups against the Tigers including last year’s 56-39 shootout at Trojan Field and the 34-30 upset by DSU at Joe Quintal Field in 2016.
