Dakota State University’s football program took time out of their busy schedule to welcome in the newest members of the team at the Pub House on Sunday. Coach Josh Anderson and his staff introduced recent student-athletes with a Signing Party after National Signing Day last Wednesday. Coach Anderson notes that rebuilding the team from year to year doesn’t get any easier with experience.
Bringing 35 signees from this year’s recruiting class is just the first step of acclimating the high school student-athletes to the college football ranks. Anderson says that even in the summer, recruiting and keeping up with the athletes is crucial before fall camp.
More signees will continue to trickle in throughout the spring and early portions of the summer. Dakota State Football won 8 games in 2017, which is the most since the 1998 season. The Trojans also finished the season ranked #23 in the NAIA Coaches Top 25 National poll.
