Chargers bounce past Lady Mustangs in straight sets

Tri-Valley Volleyball has run into tough teams in the most recent week of their schedule, losing to Chester Area and Wagner as their season quickly comes to a close. The Lady Mustangs faced another strong team Tuesday night as they took on the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers, falling by the scores of 25-7, 25-9 and 25-7.

Samantha Fykstra made her presence felt with 7 aces at the service line with 22 assists to lead the Chargers. Kylee VanEgdom posted 13 kills and 6 digs in the victory. On the other side of the net, Tri-Valley’s Erika Langloss finished with 2 kills, 5 digs and 8 assists. Mia Miller led the Lady Mustangs with 6 digs.

Tri-Valley now falls to 6-13 on the season heading to the Dakota XII Conference Tournament Saturday in Madison. Sioux Falls Christian improves to 20-4 overall with an 8 match win streak. The Chargers face Dell Rapids Thursday night before the Dak XII tournament in Madison this weekend.
