Off bad loss, Tea Area regrouping for Bulldogs

The Tea Area Titians, and head coach Craig Clayberg, are trying to put last week as far in the past as they can. The Titians, who entered last week’s game with a 5-0 record, were beaten by the Dell Rapids Quarriers 21-6. Tea was held to just 109 yards of offense and just 4 1st downs in the loss. Coach Clayberg says there’s no excuses for the loss.

Since the formation of the Dakota XII Conference Madison and Tea Area have played each other six times, including in last year’s State Championship game. The Bulldogs have won five of those games, with Tea’s only win coming in last year’s regular season game. Three of the six games have been decided by just 3 points. Clayberg says their goal is to slow down Madison anyway they can.

The Bulldogs and Titans play tomorrow night at Trojan Field in Madison. Pre-game on KJAM begins at 6:40pm
