C-E Volleyball falls to strong serving Hendricks, MN in three sets

Colman-Egan volleyball ran into a strong Hendricks team that handed them their 5th loss on the year in straight sets. The Hawks battled but fell in the first set 25-21, the Grizzlies took the second set convincingly 25-16 before closing out the match in a close 25-23 third set.

Hendricks was led by the strong play of Sophie Johnson with her 21 kills, she was also 15-for-15 from the service line to go along with 6 aces. Greta Johnson also helped the Grizzlies with 22 set assists in the win. Braiden Westley and Elizabeth Moore did their best to keep Colman-Egan in the match by both serving up 3 aces. Westley led the Hawks with 17 digs and Moore added 16.

Katie Hannasch led Colman-Egan with 6 kills in the loss, with Olivia Baumberger and Savannah Moore each adding 5 kills. Colman-Egan takes a week off from their schedule with a 5-5 overall record and 2-2 in the Dakota Valley Conference. The Hawks take on Canistota next week on the road.
