The Madison Central School Board received an award during its meeting on Monday. Wade Pogany, Executive Director of the Associated School Boards of South Dakota, attended the board’s meeting to present its award. Pogany said the board earned a bronze level award for their participation in the Associated School Boards of South Dakota’s board recognition program.
Pogany said the Madison Central School Board is one of 47 in the state receiving an award through the state’s ALL program – which stands for Act, Learn, and Lead. He said this is the first time for these awards and he hopes it will inspire boards to do even more.
School boards accumulated points throughout this past year by participating in Associated School Boards of South Dakota’s activities, training opportunities, and by demonstrating leadership at the local, state and national level.
