Lake County Commission meeting Tuesday

The Lake County Commission meets Tuesday morning.  Commissioners have several appointments on their agenda tomorrow, including Sheriff Tim Walburg to discuss Public Safety Building security improvements, and Equalization Director Rick Becker to take his oath of office and discuss the County Board of Equalization schedule.  At 9:15 Tuesday, commissioners will also consider an application and resolution for Northern Natural Gas Company for permission to construct and operate natural gas pipelines and mains along some Lake County public highways.  

At 9:30 tomorrow morning, Ryan Kappenman will discuss the 4-H grounds with commissioners.  4-H Advisor Jen Hayford will also discuss pens and present her quarterly report to commissioners, and John Eilertson will discuss an application to rent the 4-H grounds. 

Commissioners will hold the awarding of bids with Highway Superintendent Nels Nelson at 10:00 Tuesday morning.  Nelson will also have a couple of utility occupancy applications for the commission’s consideration, a Bridge Reinspection Program resolution, and other applications and resolutions regarding the federal bridge replacement program.  

Commissioners tomorrow will recognize National County Government Month and hold an employee recognition.

These appointments and items of business and more make up Tuesday’s agenda for the Lake County Commission.  The commission meeting starts at 9:00 Tuesday morning in the commission room in the Lake County Courthouse in Madison and will also be available through the use of Zoom.
