Madison City Commission Candidate Forum to be held next week

This year’s election of two Madison City Commissioners is coming up on April 13th.  Anyone interested in voting in the city commission election who isn’t already a registered voter will need to be registered by this Monday, March 29th.  Voter registration forms can be found at the City Finance Office or the Lake County Auditor’s Office.

There are three candidates on the ballot for the two, 3-year commission terms up for election this year – incumbent commissioner Bob Thill and challengers Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Dybdahl.

The Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce’s Governmental Affairs Committee is holding a city commission candidate forum next week.  The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Tunheim Classroom Building Auditorium on the campus of Dakota State University.  There will be limited in-person capacity and masks will be required at the event, which will also be streamed on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

Anyone with questions they would like the commission candidates to answer can submit them by e-mail to Chamber Executive Director Eric Hortness.  His e-mail address is [email protected].
