The overall total of positive COVID-19 cases is approaching 2000 now in South Dakota.  In data released Thursday by the state Department of Health, there have now been 1956 positive COVID-19 cases in the state – an increase from Wednesday of just less than one-hundred. 

The state is also reporting that 1064 people in the state have recovered from the virus – or about 54-percent of all the positive cases.  Nine people have died from the virus, and currently there are 58 people hospitalized.  

Lake County remains at three positive COVID-19 cases, with two of them recovered, and 93 negative tests.  Moody County currently has two positive coronavirus cases, with one of them recovered, Miner County has one positive, and McCook County has four positive cases, with three recovered and one death.
