The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting Monday.  

Commissioners are scheduled to acknowledge the city’s Infrastructure Improvement Plan for 2021-2025, and accept a petition requesting the creation of a Business Improvement District.  A hearing on the petition will be set for December 21st.  Commissioners will also adopt a resolution for the Notice of Intent to Create a Business Improvement District, and a resolution for the city’s 2021 Sidewalk Repair Improvement project.  

Also on the agenda for the commission is a grant agreement to update Madison Public Library youth spaces, and a change order for Phase 1-A of the city’s Water System Improvement Project.  The commission will also acknowledge the 2021 Delta Dental rates, and discuss the Employer’s Subscription agreement with the Health Pool of South Dakota for 2021 Health and Life Insurance.  Commissioners will also discuss engagement letters with Schoenfish and Company, Incorporated for the city’s 2020 annual report and audit services, and authorize the purchase of a 2021 Ford Explorer Utility Police Interceptor.

An executive session for personnel is scheduled for the end of Monday’s meeting.

The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 Monday.  Commissioners will meet in the commission room in Madison City Hall and using Zoom technology.
