Madison man sentenced on burglary charge

A Madison man has been sentenced on a felony burglary charge.  20-year-old Mason Schlechter of Madison was sentenced Tuesday in Lake County Circuit Court on one count of 3rd degree burglary for an incident that happened in August of last year.  

Circuit Judge Pat Pardy gave Schlechter a suspended imposition of sentence, with several conditions.  Some of the conditions include that he serve 30 days in the Lake County Jail and be on supervised probation for three years.  Schlechter also must pay fine, costs, and restitution totaling close to two-thousand dollars, among other conditions. Judge Pardy ordered Schlechter to report to the Lake County Jail to start serving his jail sentence by Friday.
