Lake County Commissioners hold their regular meeting on Tuesday.  

Some appointments on the commission’s agenda tomorrow morning include Deputy Register of Deeds Carol Nordling to discuss retirement at 9:05, Adam Molseed with the GOED to discuss livestock development and the sales tax rebate program at 9:10, and the county’s poor farm land lease auction at 9:30 Tuesday.   Other appointments include Zoning Officer Mandi Anderson at 10:00 a.m. with a couple of conditional use applications, a variance, and three plats for the commission’s consideration. The commission will also meet with John Snedeker of Butler Machinery and the county Highway Department regarding the CAT backhoe purchase at 10:20 tomorrow morning, and at 10:30 with Brad Preheim of the Vermillion Basin Water Development District regarding its expansion.  County Veterans Service Officer Courtney VanZanten is scheduled to discuss an Honor Flight donation with commissioners at 11:00 Tuesday morning.  

Others scheduled to meet with county commissioners Tuesday include Highway Superintendent Nels Nelson regarding the 2019 Bridge Improvement Grant and personnel, Emergency Management Director Kody Keefer regarding the POD trailer and Dakota Access donation, and Register of Deeds Shirley Ebsen regarding personnel.  The commission will also meet with Treasurer Deb Walburg regarding closing the office for training, and consider the county’s 2020 liquor license renewals. 

The Lake County Commission meets Tuesday starting at 9:00 a.m. in the commission room in the Lake County Courthouse in Madison.
