Lady Ts lose to Northwestern 75-71


The Dakota State University Women's Basketball Team suffered a loss in the first night of The Northwestern Classic in Orange City,Iowa losing to the host Red Raiders 75-71. Trailing 43-35 after the first half The Lady Ts began to chip away at the deficit.

9 Trojans named to NSAA all conference team


Dakota State University had 9 players selected to The North Star Athletic Association All Conference Football Team.

Chester Flyers advance to the second round


Chester Area's Jenna Reiff dominated the first set, as the Flyers defeated Harding County 25-17, 25-15, 25-17 in the opening round of the Class B State Volleyball Tournament on Thursday. Reiff had eight kills in the first set, including the set-winner, as Chester sailed into the 2nd round.

Arlington Cardinals fall in the 1st round


The most exciting match in first round of the State B Volleyball tournament was between the Arlington Cardinals and the Parker Pheasants. The match featured 28 ties and 10 lead changes.
Parker jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first set, and at one point held a 19-9 lead. But the Cardinals railed for the opening set win 25-23.

The Chester Flyers are the #2 seed in State B Volleyball Tournament in Aberdeen. This will be the 2nd trip for Chester to the State Volleyball.

The DSU Men's Basketball team dropped an exhibition contest 95-51 to Augustana College last  night in Sioux Falls. 

4 Trojans earn NSAA Volleyball Honors


Dakota State University had 4 players earn all conference honors and 2 win player of the year awards when The North Star Athletic Association announced their volleyball awards earlier this week.

Howard Football Bringing in Post-Season Awards


Post season awards have been pouring in for the 9A football champion Howard Tigers. The Cornbelt Conference released their all-conference list this week, with 6 Tigers headlining the group. The Arlington Cardinals volleyball team is heading to State volleyball tournament on Thursday in Aberdeen. Arlington is 26-6 in the regular season, also swept Districts and Regions in the post season.

DSU basketball picks a pair of wins Saturday


Both Dakota State University basketball teams picked up wins Saturday. First The Lady Ts defeated McPherson 73-50 in the 2nd day of The AIB Women's Classic in Des Moines.

Lady Ts Top Graceland


The Lady Ts held off a late charge from Graceland University to pick up a 77-73 win in the first day of The AIB Classic in Des Moines last night. Trailing in the second half Dakota State went on a 22-12 scoring run to gain a 77-67. The Yellow Jackets hit back to back 3s with 1:34 left to play cutting their deficit to 4. DSU's defense was able to hold on for the win. Each team scored 42 points

DSU Volleyball Wraps Up Season


The Dakota State University volleyball team had their season come to an end Wednesday losing to Mayville State in the semifinals of The North Star Athletic Association Postseason Conference Tournament. The Comets won in 4 sets 25-23,17-25,25-19,and 25-18. Caitlin Pick had 15 kills to lead The Lady Ts offense. Stacey Westby and Kaylee Vander Wall each had 23 set assists with Westby also getting 12

Madison Falls to Dell Rapids in 11A Title Game


The Madison Bulldogs lost to Dell Rapids Quarriers 12-7 in the South Dakota High School 11A Football Championship game in Vermillion Thursday night.

Howard Claims 9A State Championship


 
The Howard Tigers finished their perfect season by capturing The 9A State Championship beating Wolsey Wessington 32-20 at The DakotaDome in Vermillion. The Tiger’s took the lead less than one minute into the game.

Bulldogs Back in 11A Championship Game


The 2014 Madison Bulldog football team began their season with a 36-33 win over the Dell Rapids Quarriers, and one way or another their season will end against the Quarriers tonight. For the 2nd year in a row the Bulldogs will travel to the USD Dakota Dome for the 11A football championship game.
