Four human West Nile Virus cases now in Lake County



 The number of human West Nile Virus cases in Lake County has gone up to four in the most recent numbers released from the State Health Department.  There has also been one blood donor case reported in the county.  Kingsbury county has had five human West Nile virus cases reported and Moody county has had one human and one blood donor case.  Overall, statewide the number of human cases of West Nile virus disease is at 98.  One person in the state has died from West Nile this year.  The State Health Department encourages residents to continue to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites by using insect repellent and wearing long sleeves and pants after dark.
