Heat causing some schools to close early

Extreme heat is forcing some schools in the state to close early this week.  The National Weather Service forecast calls for high temperatures in the mid-to-upper-90's in some areas today and tomorrow, with some places in the central part of the state expected reach over 100-degrees.
Officials say when temperatures surpass 90-degrees in classrooms with no air conditions, there are concerns about stress on students and teachers.
In our listening area, Colman-Egan School is dismissing at 1:00 today and tomorrow because of the heat, and Howard Schools are dismissing at 1:30 today.  Howard also dismissed early on Tuesday.
