Madison woman wins $10,000
Sue Bergheim Reporting
A Madison woman is 10-thousand dollars richer after coming forward with her winning Powerball ticket. Susan Janssen of Madison was one of two 10-thousand dollar winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing. Janssen’s ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball. She purchased her ticket at Mike’s Package Liquor in Madison.
The other winning Powerball ticket was sold in Sioux Falls. The odds of winning the game’s 10-thousand dollar prize are one in almost 650-thousand.
A winning Wild Card 2 ticket was also purchased in Wagner. That winner will take home 5001-dollars. In the Wild Card 2 game, winning ticket holders must match five of the five white ball numbers, but miss the Wild Card.
Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia, and the U-S Virgin Islands.
Wild Card 2 is played only in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
