Legacy of Survival event Friday

The South Dakota Department of Transportation is advising motorists traveling on State Highway 34 between Flandreau and the Minnesota State line tomorrow (Friday) morning to watch for horse riders and runners who will be traveling on the highway.  The riders and pedestrians are traveling that route as part of the “Legacy of Survival” event held by the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe.
Motorists are asked to watch out for horse and pedestrian traffic on the shoulder of the highway in that area, as well as in the roadside ditches, and to be prepared for suddenly slowing or stopped traffic.
