It isn’t very often that you can make a donation to a good cause and get a chance to win something in return, but it is something that Lake County International of Madison and the Interlakes Area United Way has been teaming up to do for a few years now. This year, Lake County International is selling four-hundred chances to win the lease of one of its tractors for those who want to make a one-hundred dollar donation to the United Way. Jeff Bloom says it’s a way for them and the ag community to give back to an organization that helps so many.
Bloom says the tractor lease they are offering has a prize value of more than 18-thousand dollars.
Tickets for the giveaway are one-hundred dollars and are available at Lake County International, Dakota Ethanol, and KJAM…or you can go online to the Interlakes Area United Way’s website at interlakesunitedway.org. Bloom says all of the money raised will benefit the more than 35 local non-profit agencies in Lake, Miner and Moody counties who receive funding from the Interlakes Area United Way.
The funds raised through the tractor lease giveaway will also receive some matching funds from Dakota Ethanol of Wentworth, who raises money through their annual golf tournament.
