Shopko conversion to begin at Madison Pamida
Sue Bergheim Reporting
Shopko has announced that it is now ready to begin converting the Madison Pamida store to a Shopko Hometown store. The conversion begins next week and the store and pharmacy will remain open during this time. The entire process is expected to last five to six weeks.
The conversion to Shopko Hometown will include new interior and exterior signage, carpet, paint, updated and supplement fixtures and lighting and a new easy to shop store layout. Each of the store’s three primary departments will be converted one department at a time with each department opening to shoppers as soon as it’s complete.
A grand opening celebration will take place once the entire conversion process is complete.
Shopko President Paul Jones said they have converted 45 Pamida stores nationwide to the Shopko Hometown format since their merger with Pamida earlier this year.
