Dairy Queen planning skydiving and other events Thursday evening
Sue Bergheim Reporting
After surpassing the goal of blizzard sales for Miracle Treat Day last week, the Madison Dairy Queen is planning a celebration this Thursday at the Madison Airport. A pork-loin dinner will be served starting at 5:00 Thursday evening and a free-will donation will be accepted. Then at 6:00, long-time Madison Dairy Queen employees Rosie Poppen and Jane DeVaney will be skydiving, followed by Dairy Queen owner DeLon Mork and State Farm Insurance’s Randy Schaefer at around 7:00 Thursday night. Throughout the evening, there will also be airplane, helicopter, and hot-air balloon rides available, the Madison Car Enthusiasts will have a car show, and there will be music and more. The proceeds raised through last Thursday’s blizzard sales go to help the Children’s Miracle Network.
