Alverson re-elected to Corn Board
Keith Alverson, a sixth-generation farmer from Chester, has been re-elected to the National Corn Growers Association Corn Board.
The 32-year-old Alverson is vice-president of the South Dakota Corn Growers Association board of directors and previously served three years on the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council board, including two years as vice president.
Alverson, who has an agronomy degree from South Dakota State University, has been an active volunteer with the National Corn Growers Association. He is a 2009 graduate of the association’s leadership academy and was on the N-C-G-A’s Ethanol Committee for three years, serving as chairman and vice chairman.
Alverson will serve a three-year term on the national board. He was one of five people elected to the board Wednesday by delegates attending this week’s N-C-G-A Corn Congress.
