Madison Central School Board annual meeting tonight

One newly elected and one re-elected board member will be sworn in to the Madison Central School Board during its annual meeting tonight.  After its regular meeting at 6:30, the board will hold its annual meeting, which will begin with the oath of office being administered to newly elected member Cami Sims and re-elected board member Steve Nelson, who will both serve three year terms.  The board will then elect its president and vice-president for the next year, along with approving several of its annual consent items.  The board will also appoint its standing committees for the next year, adopt its district policies, and consider the recommendation for a food service rate change.  The school board is also scheduled to consider the approval of revisions to its internet use policy, and consider approval of the East Dakota Educational Co-op Service Agreement.  The board will also set the date for its planning and goal setting retreat.
The regular meeting tonight starts at 6:30 in the Madison Middle School – room 117.
