Unemployment rates drop in local counties

All but one area county reported an unemployment rate below the statewide average for the month of May.  In numbers released recently from the State Department of Labor, May’s unemployment rate statewide was four-percent.  Moody County reported a four-and-a-half percent rate for May, while Miner County was just under four-percent at three-point-nine-percent.  The unemployment rate for Lake County was three-point-six-percent, McCook County was three-point-seven, and Kingsbury County was three-point-four-percent.
