South Dakota economy showing growth

Signs continue to point to a slow improvement in the state’s economy.  The latest trend is the number of open jobs being posted through the state Department of Labor.  Secretary Pam Roberts says they now have about eleven-thousand open jobs posted in the state.

The state’s unemployment rate has been holding steady at about four-percent.  Roberts says it may drift down a bit more.

Roberts says they have also seen a fairly big drop in unemployment benefits payments.
