As the heat wave continues this week, the National Weather Service is urging people to stay safe.  Meteorologist Todd Heitkamp says there are several precautions that people need to take.



Heitkamp says it is also important to watch what you eat.



Be sure to protect yourself from the sun by wearing light colored clothing, preferably made of cotton, wear a wide-brimmed hat, and use sunscreen.
