Lake County Commission meeting Tuesday

The Lake County Commission is meeting in regular session on Tuesday. Commissioners are scheduled to consider a special malt beverage license application for the Chester Volunteer Fire Department, as well as hold a hearing on the liquor license transfer for the Moonlite tomorrow morning. Equalization Director Shirley Ebsen has an appointment with commissioners at 9:30 tomorrow to discuss a new hire/part-time position, followed by Carmyn Egge of Senator Tim Johnson’s office at 9:45. Zoning Officer Deb Reinicke will discuss a couple of conditional use permits, a rezoning request and a variance with commissioners at 10:00 Tuesday, and Richard Pearson regarding a county lien. At 10:45, the Smith-Zimmerman Museum will present its 2013 budget request, and at 11:00, Emergency Management Director Don Thomson will discuss the Homeland Security Grant timeline. Commissioners will also hold a discussion on the 2013 budget, the joint task force on flood prevention and protection, and consider a fireworks public display permit for the Madison Fire Department.
The Lake County Commission meeting starts at 9:00 Tuesday in the commission room in the Lake County Courthouse in Madison.
