The Madison Police Department is looking for whoever vandalized the city pound on Southeast 5th Street over the weekend.  Damage to the building and its door and a screen was discovered on Sunday evening. The police report says several scrape marks…which appear to have been made by a large metal bar…were discovered around the lock and handle of the building’s door.  The door also looked like it had been pried, according to police, and some of the tin covering on the north side of the building had been pried away.  The screen on the window on the northeast side of the pound also appeared to be cut and damaged.
