Madison firefighters are champions at State Fire School

The Madison Fire Department firefighters came away champions again during this year’s State Fire School in Yankton…making it the 8th consecutive championship for them.  Eight Madison firemen competed in evolutions against other departments across the state.  According to Fire Chief Randy Minnaert, the competition consisted of four different races where the firemen do a variety of tasks, consisting of hooking hoses together, hooking to hydrants, and hitting targets.  Madison firefighters won all four races to win the championship.  State Fire School was held this past weekend in Yankton.
