Baltic Girls host Garretson to open Districts

Baltic, S.D. -- The Baltic Girls basketball team will open play tonight in the District 6A tournament as the #1 seed.  The Bulldogs, who went 16-4 in the regular season, will host #4 seed Garretson.

Baltic faced Garretson earlier this season and defeated the Blue Dragons 57-49 on January 13th.  Head Coach Pete Egstad says that because of a rivalry that has formed between the two schools, each contest is intense.

Throughout the season, the Bulldogs have counted on the play of junior Morgan Forsch.  Coach Egstad says that her leadership and performance on the floor is a big reason why Baltic claimed the top seed in Districts.

As the #1 seeded team in the District, Batlic earned the right to host tonight’s game.  It is something that Coach Egstad believes will be important for the Bulldogs.

Baltic will host Garretson tonight to open District play at 7:00.
