Madison, SD -- For the first time in a couple of seasons, the Madison Gymnastics team will have several athletes graduating this year. Danielle Bloom and Laura Blom both competed in their last gymnastics meet as Bulldogs this last weekend at the State “A” Gymnastics Meet in Brookings.

Both athletes took home several top-five finishes as well as helping the Bulldogs take home a second-place finish in the team competition. Danielle says stepping on the mat for Saturday’s individual and all-around competition was tough.



With both girls having the most experience of all the Madison gymnasts, Laura says she and Danielle were counted on to provide leadership to the younger gymnasts.



Both girls say there are several memories they’ll take from their careers at MHS.



Danielle and Laura will both pursue higher education—Bloom has also said she would like to continue involvement in gymnastics either as a coach or as a judge.
